If you ever find yourself in need of some advice for defining your brand and growing your social media presence, Captolia is the best person to reach out to. Also known as The Digital Witch, Captolia is a brand strategist and social media coach for witches.

She uses Jungian archetypes to help mystics and spiritual entrepreneurs create amazingly authentic and profitable brands that serve their purpose.

In a recent interview with Moonwood, Captolia shared her best tips for aspiring mystics and entrepreneurs to grow authentic brands and an impactful social media presence.

Without further ado, here are five takeaways from the interview so you can reach new levels with your awesome brand! 😍

1. DEFINE YOUR MISSION STATEMENT.

Before you set out on your entrepreneurial journey, make sure that you define your overall mission statement. That is, who you are, what you do, and what audience you’re aiming to serve.

Don’t make your mission statement overly complicated, either! Make your brand’s value and purpose easy to understand and act on. In other words, KISS (Keep It Stupid Simple). 💋

2. BE TRUE TO WHO YOU ARE.

You’re already a badass as you are, so why try to be something else?!

Rather than desperately trying to appeal to everyone in fear of losing potential clients, be authentic in who you are. You might think that it’s a good business move to try to attract everyone as prospective customers of your brand, but that’s spreading yourself too thin.

Instead, focus on staying true to you, and the people who really need your services or products will come. Even though you may be excluding some people from your target audience, you’ll be attracting many more customers who are actually in alignment with your brand’s mission statement.

Not only that, but they are more likely to pay top dollar for what you have to offer.

3. USE THE JUNGIAN ARCHETYPES IN YOUR BRAND STRATEGY.

One thing that Captolia does really (REALLY) well is helping brands improve their branding and growth strategy by aligning them with their archetypes.

Ideated by psychologist Carl Jung, the 12 archetypes basically describe what type of character you (and your brand) naturally are in this story of life.

If you’re a Maverick archetype, for example, then your brand will more than likely help its customers to find their own empowerment by thinking differently and not conforming to societal standards.

If you’re a Magician archetype, then your brand will probably inspire people to lead with their imagination and to dream big in life. See how this could be helpful?

4. BE CONSISTENT YET EXPERIMENTAL WITH YOUR BRANDING.

Some people tend to develop super fine-tuned branding guidelines that only serve to restrict them from opportunities for growth and creativity. Rather than being super strict with your branding, allow yourself a little room for experimental growth.

Keep your colors and caption voice consistent, for example, while being a bit experimental with how you create your videos or what content you upload on your stories.

By being experimental, you’re bound to find some new and amazing opportunities for even more growth. And who wouldn’t want that? 🤔

5. SHOW UP FOR YOUR AUDIENCE FROM DAY ONE.

Sure, you want to have a large audience of 100k one day. Who doesn’t? But you sure as heck won’t reach that level of an audience if you aren’t treating the first few supporters you have like royalty.

As Captolia says, “Show up for your audience of 500 followers the same way you would for a 10k audience”.
